Contribution to RCIS 2020

On 25 September 2020, our team member Theo Zschörnig attended the 14th International Conference on Research Challenges in Information Science (RCIS) to present current research results from the SENERGY project.

Prior to this, the conference paper IoT Analytics Architectures: Challenges, Solution Proposals and Future Research Directions submitted by him and his co-authors was accepted for publication by the RCIS programme committee in the course of a double-blind peer review.

The paper presents an overview of current challenges and existing approaches to developing system architectures for the analysis of IoT data. The identified solutions are categorised along various dimensions to highlight the evolution of research in this field. The results show that some challenges have already been addressed, while others remain open. Regarding the latter, the paper identifies and describes some possible research directions for the future.

Due to the corona pandemic, RCIS 2020 took place as a purely online event.
