On 9 May 2020, our team member Theo Zschörnig attended the 5th International Conference on Internet of Things, Big Data and Security (IoTBDS) to present current research results from the SENERGY project.
Prior to this, the conference paper A Cloud-based Analytics Architecture for the Application of Online Machine Learning Algorithms on Data Streams in Consumer-centric Internet of Things Domains, submitted by him and his co-authors, was accepted for publication by the IoTBDS programme committee in the course of a double-blind peer review.
The paper addresses the problem that current system architectures for data analysis are not designed to flexibly apply machine learning algorithms on real-time data streams such as those found in the Internet of Things. Based on this, a solution architecture is presented and evaluated with respect to its performance.
Due to the corona pandemic, the IoTBDS 2020 took place as a purely online event.
